Any Woman Is Sexy If She Does This!

Greetings Dear Reader!

Regardless of a woman's race, age, body size, or age, she is sexy if she does her best to:

 MAKE
HEALTHY
LIFESTYLE
CHOICES!!!

You've all seen her at one time or another.  You know, the woman who actively demonstrates that she CARES about her health in a variety of ways. Perhaps she makes the effort to manage her sodium, sugar, or caloric intake. She might be the woman who makes sure she gets adequate rest, or finds ways to incorporate physical activity into her daily or weekly routine.
Whatever the HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHOICES are, it tells you this: She has the CONFIDENCE to know she deserves optimal wellness by making healthy lifestyle choices. And most people agree that CONFIDENCE is... SEXY.
Thanks to all the sexy women, and the people who love them, for reading this!

Lend An Ear To A Caregiver

Greetings Dear Reader!

Today's post is inspired by a tweet from Project Eve about caring for caregivers.

One of the first tips in their article was to offer help to a caregiver as they may not always ask for it.

Very recently I spoke with a close friend who is caregiver to a parent w/ a form of dementia. My friend talked about movies, repairs he was making to an old sports car, and wood-chipping(?). I don't know much about car repairs (yes, I'm that kind of woman), nor do I know much about wood-chipping. But, I do know how to lend an ear.

My friend does not want for anything but the occasional normal conversation. I was glad to be of help. Remember: Help is help. Big or small in amount, it's still HELP.

Help a caregiver by listening. If you are the caregiver, then help yourself by reaching out and talking with a friend.

Horrific Experience; However,...

Greetings!

Thanks for stopping by. So I had a very horrific experience in San Antonio, TX this past Wednesday.

First of all, I was in San Antonio for a formal reason which turned out to be very wonderful. I was feeling really glad about the outcome of my visit.

To celebrate the good news, I was contentedly and carefully driving to Brackenridge Park to visit the Japanese/Chinese Tea Garden.

Well, on the way there, this happened:

Yes! I was rear-ended. The hatchback door of my vehicle was smashed and the window was smashed into oblivion. This event really rained on my emotional parade after getting good news and carefully driving to a nice park. (Obviously, I did not go to the park after the incident).

So now I'm in a rental until my car is repaired. Hopefully it gets repaired swiftly, but this means I'll be heading back to San Antonio.

Compare the back-to-back traffic of a place like San Antonio to the scene I came across this calm small-town morning. This kind of traffic is far less harrowing than what awaits folks in large cities such as San Antonio, Houston, and the like:
**Look to the left and you will see the horse. There were two horses that the police, and I assume the owner, was trying to 'reign in', so to speak. Rarely are there substantial traffic issues in a small town!

I have some other options to consider and I'm thinking I must factor in "traffic" when making some big decisions! Hmm...

Also, I am seriously trying to figure out if being rear-ended means I should not take the offer in San Antonio. After all, I do believe everything happens for a reason.

The two positives in all of this are... 1) it's nice to have options on where to relocate, AND 2) thankfully, I am alive and well to 'vent' about my horrific experience on this blog.

Following Your Arrow!

Greetings!

My posts are all about living well and having a good quality of life. I post different things all the time and today I'm sharing the link to a cool video featuring a neat song about following one's arrow.

Whatever you're doing today, be sure to follow your arrow... wherever you decide to point it. Don't forget that along the way you can ALWAYS change directions!

My Attempt to Write 3OK Words

Greetings Dear Reader!

Thanks for stopping by! I am now providing an update on the 30K words I attempted to write over the last weekend.

I made the attempt; however, I got in over 14K words, but not 30K. Being the resilient and positive person that I CHOOSE to be, I decided to focus on the following:

1) I set a goal, which provided me with a sense of purpose and direction.

2) I set a goal that was SMART:
Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Reachable (for some people), & Time-wise.

3) Had I not set such a high goal to complete a 30K words, I probably would have written even less than 14K words.

Remember that sayings that goes something like the following: The higher the aim, the higher the reach; the lower the aim, the lower the reach. And then we all know that if you reach for nothing, you GET nothing!

Learned some things in the process of trying to write 30K words and I liked how nice I was to myself. I will continue to set goals. By the way, this weekend I published 2 short stories under a pen name. After uploading the 2 short stories, I walked 5 miles around the park below:

Set a goal for yourself. Reach for something and you'll get something. Reach for nothing and... well, just re-read this post.
